The contract becomes valid with your written confirmation to the EDEN AU LAC. We reserve the right to withdraw the offer until such time as a signed confirmation of order is in place. The agreements reached under the terms of this contract are binding on both parties.
The organiser is to notify the EDEN AU LAC no later than 5 days prior to the event of the detailed programme, the full details of the layout for the seating arrangements and the technical facilities, and the definitive choice of menu and wines, all of which the EDEN AU LAC requires to ensure the smooth organisation of the event.
Please send us the precise number of participants no later than 24 hours before your event. Our invoice will be based on this figure. Obviously, for organisational reasons it is important to ensure that we are able to communicate with you right up until the event.
The EDEN AU LAC reserves the right to change room reservations for meetings, meals, etc., provided this is in keeping with the organiser’s requirements and interests and is acceptable to him; this applies particularly in cases where the original number of participants changes leading up to the event.
3. Terms & conditions of cancellation and payment
The following compensation terms for prospective services and rentals will be invoiced in the event of cancellation: 10 to 6 days before the event: 60%; 5 to 0 days before the event: 100% of all agreed services. If no services have yet been agreed, we will invoice the percentages on the basis of CHF 30 per participant for aperitif receptions and of CHF 80 per participant for banquet receptions. A deposit may be required.
For hotel rooms the deadlines are as follows: individual reservations of up to 3 rooms: cancellation free of charge up to 24 hours before arrival. Group reservations of up to 10 rooms: cancellation free of charge up to 15 days before arrival.
Invoices submitted by the EDEN AU LAC are to be settled net within 30 days of the invoice date. We draw your attention to the fact that any objections regarding the invoice must be lodged within 10 days of the date of invoice.
4. Food & Beverage
Menus, cards & decorations: we are happy to print menus for you for a fee of CHF 1 per person. Special wishes and requests will be taken into account whenever possible. We are also happy to organise suitable floral arrangements and any decorations you may wish. Candles for dinner in the evening are provided with our compliments.
Wines / corkage - Please refer to our wine list. We are of course at your disposal should you require assistance in selecting a suitable wine accompaniment for the menu. However, wines of a specific vintage or quantity may no longer be available at short notice. If so, we reserve the right to offer you an equivalent alternative. A corkage fee of CHF 35 per 75 cl bottle is charged for wines supplied by the organiser.
If an event lasts longer than midnight, a surcharge will apply for each hour or part thereof beyond midnight. CHF 8 per hour per guest.
The organiser is liable for loss and/or damage. It is the organiser’s responsibility to take out the appropriate insurance cover. As a matter of principle the organiser is solely responsible for loss of or damage to property brought onto the premises. The EDEN AU LAC is liable only within the scope of statutory provisions. This applies likewise to materials and equipment sent in advance and to the operation of said materials and equipment by our staff.
Where the EDEN AU LAC provides the organiser with technical facilities or other installations or contracts third parties to do so, it acts on behalf and for the account of the customer. The organiser is responsible for the correct handling and orderly return of these objects and holds the EDEN AU LAC harmless from any claims asserted by third parties resulting from the transfer of such objects.
The contract is governed exclusively by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is the city of Zurich.
